Fare Free Bus Lines
On her first day in office, Mayor Wu announced a two-year expansion of the fare-free buses pilot program. The proposed program will set aside $8 million to extend fare-free service to 23, 28, and 29 lines, which each serve environmental justice communities. The program represents a major step towards achieving a more reliable and equitable transportation system and making Boston healthy and connected.

Fossil Fuel Divestment
On November 22, Mayor Wu signed a landmark ordinance that will divest the City's $1.3 billion trust funds from fossil fuels. The measure marks an important milestone to address the climate crisis and usher in a greener and more resilient future for Boston.
